About us

Us, which are Klaas en José and the Belgian shepherd dog(Malinois) Lex.       We have been" homeless" for a while, i.e.: we have sold our house and we have given up our jobs to go and travel for a few years. Even though we have travelled quite a lot already and visited many countries in Europe but also Turkey, Iran, Oman, New Zealand, Cook islands, Cape Verdian islands and Morocco, our special interest goes to Greece, Turkey, Iran and the countries of the Middle East. We are specifically interested in their mountainous areas and their alpine flora. So we walk quite a lot to find and photograph these plants, for example in the spring of 2000 we made a 6-week trip to Iran to look for and look at the various varieties of the genus Dionysia. We just like nature generally, other plant species, (wild)animals birds and insects. We too are very interested in the local nomadic people. Every time again it’s a real experience to meet these often very hospitable people. Also the history of these areas is often very interesting and helps you to understand why things are as they are today. Because of all these reasons we would like to develop this site so everyone who is interested can travel "with us."

After our trip to Iran, the United Arab Emirates and Oman in 2002/2003 we returned to Greece. During this journey plans were born to start organising tours in Greece and this way give other people the opportunity to travel the way we do and to experience the beauty of mountains and their alpine flora.

Through the years we have become very experienced in, both on and offroad,
travelling with a campervan in Greece. Because of this we can help you planning your route, or even guide you on parts of or the complete trip.
But if you just want to spend a good time in Greece, you are welcome too!

Because we are specialised in 'alpines', we especially would like to invite people with the same interest. We did choose Greece because we travelled this country many times, it still has some relatively unknown mountain areas to discover.
Our VW T4 Syncro is the ultimate camper to get to the mountains in a comfortable way, big advantage being the possibility to stay in the mountains for the night in the most wonderful spots. Again, with our expertise we can show where the best spots are to be found. It is also possible to be guided by us on your explorations.
Most important feature for us is the small scale, we think its important not to walk around with large groups of people through mountains. Or to race through villages with too many cars.
We want to give the opportunity to people to experience a different way of travelling in the first place, and through this, meet a 'new' Greece!
